Why not Rutgers?

Exactly. Why not Rutgers? I wrote about this today but I don't think Louisville was as overrated as you believe. Sure they don't deserve number 3 in the nation based on last night's game but Rutgers is obviously very good and it took a last second field goal to beat them. They crapped their pants in the second half for sure but to me Louisville is still a very good team. I just don't get the double standard that has been exposed nationally.
Nobody would call Michigan a fraud if they lose to Ohio St. by 3 points. Yet now Louisville is suddenly seen as a major pretender even though they lose by 3 to a top 15 team. They may not be national championship worthy --as you said, national champions don't go scoreless in the second half and lose that big of a lead---but they don't deserve the scorn that seems to be reserved for teams that don't have the history and tradition of other BCS conferences. The hypocrisy of college football drives me nuts
