Pac 16 schedule

A sixteen league schedule with 9 conference games would actually provide schools with a better rotation of conference opponents than the current 8 game schedule with 12 teams in two divisions.

Pac - 16

Pod A (Oregon, Oregon St, Washington, Washington State)
Pod B (USC, UCLA, Arizona, Arizona State)
Pod C (Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas Tech)
Pod D (Colorado, Utah, California, Stanford)

Year 1&2 these teams would play a home and home series against the following:

Pod A(3 games against Pod A, 4 game against Pod C, 2 games against Pod B-1,2)
Pod B(3 games against Pod B, 4 game against Pod D, 2 games against Pod A-1,2)
Pod C(3 games against Pod C, 4 game against Pod A, 2 games against Pod D-1,2)
Pod D(3 games against Pod D, 4 game against Pod B, 2 games against Pod C-1,2)

Year 3&4 these teams would play a home and home series against the following:

Pod A(3 games against Pod A, 4 game against Pod D, 2 games against Pod B-3,4)
Pod B(3 games against Pod B, 4 game against Pod C, 2 games against Pod A-3,4)
Pod C(3 games against Pod C, 4 game against Pod B, 2 games against Pod D-3,4)
Pod D(3 games against Pod D, 4 game against Pod A, 2 games against Pod C-3,4)

In this format every team would have a home and road game against all of the other opponents every four years. The conference championship game would pit the top team from Pod A & B, either by record or ranking against the top team from Pod C & D.
