Will the Chiefs Come Back Stronger in the Next NFL Season?

The NFL 2020-21 season was full of surprises that left everyone inside the league and outside astounded. One of the pitfalls that unfold right in front of our eyes is when the heavily favored team to win the Super Bowl has lost the title.

Will the Chiefs Come Back Stronger in the Next NFL Season?

Many factors affect the Super Bowl LV game and result in the Chiefs' defeat. However, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are not backing down even after the fall they experienced. With many fans already speculating the Draft Odds and the new season coming, will the Chiefs rise through the ashes of the previous Super Bowl and come back stronger? Let's find out.

Tyreek Hill Promised a Strong Comeback

The whole team was very disappointed with their performance on the Super Bowl LV and was devastated by the result. The entire team and their fans hope that they will again take that ring and make their fans proud.

Even though the Chiefs have stayed at the number one spot on the board for the rest of the season, yet they went home with a frown. But for Tyreek Hill, the battle isn't over. With the new season fast approaching, a new chance of victory arises.

After that sad loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the Super Bowl LV, Hill promised that he and the entire team would come back on the field next season stronger. Mistake after mistake Hill and the Chiefs have learned their lesson.

Tyreek Hill has released a strong statement to the public and throughout the entire league, stating that they should watch out for the Kansas City Chiefs the next season as they try to rise back and redeem what they have lost.

The Chiefs Is Already Focused on Their Comeback

What happened already happened, and nothing the Chiefs can do about it. However, they can still do a lot to dominate the whole season this year and win the next Super Bowl. It is why the entire team is now focused on their comeback and planned to become stronger than ever.

Even though the Chiefs entered Raymond James Stadium prepared and well-motivated, when the game started, they lost it. Maybe because of a few factors that significantly affected their whole performance and the game's outcome.

Looking at the statistics numbers will give you a picture of a good game, but if you look closely, it was a bit one-sided. The Chiefs were charged with 11 penalties for 120 yards, while the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were only charged four penalties for 39 yards. Both teams have played their offense at almost the rate. The only advantage of the Bucs over the Chiefs was they played mistake-free football on that day.

Whenever the Chiefs started to pull it together, their progress was impeded by flags and penalties, which affected their momentum. Once again, the Chiefs are back on square one, building their momentum to get back into the game.

They were very disappointed when they did not win a repeat last Super Bowl. However, it is still not too late for them to win another ring, especially since they have the greatest quarterback in the league today, Patrick Mahomes, and his teammates' support, particularly Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce.

How Patrick Mahomes Is Preparing for the Upcoming Season

After their loss against the Bucs, Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs assured their fans of a strong comeback next season. And now that we are on our way to the 2021-22 NFL season, where and what Mahomes is doing to keep his promise to the Chiefs' fans?

The first thing that Mahomes is doing as a preparation for the next season of the NFL is to get better. After the Chiefs lost against the Bucs, Mahomes underwent surgery for his toe injury. This injury is one reason why Mahomes is not performing his best during the Super Bowl LV. Mahomes still went out to the field despite his condition and played for all the Chiefs fans who expected him to be there.

Mahomes is still on his recovery path for the surgery as it will take him three months to attain complete recovery. Three months must be a long time, but Mahomes will be back on track just in time for the 2021 season.

The Chiefs' General Manager Brett Veach and the entire team are hopeful that Mahomes and two other players Mitchell Schwartz and Eric Fisher, who also undergo surgery, will join them on the mini-camp to prepare for the 2021 season.

However, Patrick Mahomes will surely start joining the team's training right after completing his three-month recovery period. Unlike the two other players who still are not sure if they can complete their rehab and participate in the training camp.

Mahomes and the Chiefs management are currently focusing on his recovery as he is the Chiefs' most important player. But until then, he will rest and focus on being healthy to be ready for action.

To Sum it Up

The Chiefs are aware of the mistakes and the shortage of their performance in the Super Bowl and are now starting to warm themselves up as preparation for the upcoming season where they plan to dominate once again.
