What a Game! What a Series! What a Season! What a Team!
Never has a motto been more true than theirs: "Stay in the Fight."
The Nats lost arguably their best player (Bryce Harper) to free agency before the season began. They were 19-31 on May 23. Heads were gunna role. But they never gave up and eventually finished the season 93-69, making it to the playoffs as a wildcard.
They came from behind to win the Wildcard game and then faced the top team in the National League. Again, they came from behind time after time, even in the tonight's game (trailed 3-0) to pull it out in extra innings.
Next up are the St Louis Cardinals in the National League Championship Series.
