The most entertaining series of the first round fittingly went to a game 7. It was so highly anticipated that Oscar De La Hoya was afraid people wouldn't order his PPV boxing match because the game came on during the same time. Oscar must have been so pissed there was a game 7 that cost him some dinero that he finished off Mayorga in the 6th round.
Instead game 7 turned out to be a clinic on how to play team basketball. The true MVP of the league Steve Nash led his team to a butt stomping victory that has quieted down those MVP chants for Kobe.
One point. That's how many Kobe scored in the 2nd half. Don't be so quick to mention MJ and Kobe Bryant in the same breath. Normally one would expect Kobe to try to keep his team in the game with his offense, as he did in Game 6 when he scored 50 points. He didn't try to create open shots. He didn't try to drive to the lane. Instead with his club trailing by 20-plus points for most of the second half, Bryant went into a shell and made no attempt to force the issue
There's still playoff basketball at the Staples Center. It's not too late for Los Angeles celebrities to be shown with the better team this season.
