You're watching Super Bowl XL and Jake Plummer throws another left handed interception. So you start to wonder what the Rolling Stones are doing to get ready for the halftime show. Maybe taking shots of Metimucil in the back. Or maybe de-frosting Keith Richards from his cryogenic frozen state.
They're probably not watching the game. Seems like Mick Jagger has an addiction for cricket. The sport which they hit a ball with a paddle. That's all I know about it. I'm not going to pretend I understand the game. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
In their "concert rider" (a needs and want list given to every venue) shown at The Smoking Gun the band reflects their softer side these days. Each band member gets their own dressing room, with names such as the Workout (Mick Jagger), Cotton Club (Charlie Watts), Recovery (Ron Wood), and Camp X-Ray (Keith Richards). No indication if there is an actual X-Ray machine to see if any organs collapsed after a show.
But in Mick's room, it states he needs cable or satellite tv and the channel that shows cricket. It's better than needing a bowl with only green and blue peanut M&M's (don't laugh some celebs ask for crazy stuff).
Everyone, except Mick, requests the same flower arrangement in their dressing room. "One medium white casablanca lilly arrangement with weeping eucalyptus, delivered in a vase". They also carry their own snooker table which is setup in a private room.
I don't care what they need backstage. Just anything to prevent them from losing their mind and accidently having a bowel malfunction on stage.
