The game is not formatted to be TV friendly

I think many find soccer boring because the game is not formatted to be TV friendly. Let’s face it, every American sport has been formatted for television.

In soccer, there arre no time outs, no commercials for going to the fridge…I also think the fact that the clock counts upwards (towards 90 minutes) instead of counting downwards erases the possibility of those exciting last-second, two-minute warning type plays.

For the record, I like soccer.
