One thing I would not do if I ever ran into a NFL player was to "do well this week cause you're on my fantasy team". They probably get that question as much as Lindsay Lohan has cameras in her face when she steps out her house. Of course when they go out and play they want to do well! That's what they're paid to do. Unless you say that to anyone on the Raiders because then your fantasy team must suck and I don't think they care about doing well.
If you're saying it to Chad Johnson surely he's the type that would laugh at it. If he can't laugh at anything you give him then he must be having a bad day.
According to a report in the Dayton Daily News, Brian Fleming told Johnson to "tell Carson Palmer to throw you the ball more.
"I have both of you on my fantasy team."
Johnson pulled out his cell phone, dialed and handed the phone to Fleming with a suggestion: "Tell him yourself."
The number indeed belonged to Palmer, who did not answer. Fleming left a message, then started wandering the aisles of the bookstore. Soon, Johnson's phone rang and he asked Fleming to return.
Palmer was on the other end, listening to a stunned Fleming repeat his message.
Last Sunday Palmer did the throw a touchdown to Johnson. Do you think he did it for Fleming? If so, I'm going to ask both of them to donate 1/4 of their game paycheck to fund my gambling account.
