If you're like me, you go to Espn.com multiple times a day. I have it set as my homepage because the first thing I want to read about is sports. What else do we need to know in life?
One second I see the site layout as we're used to seeing, the next I click refresh to get updated news, and I get the new look Espn.com (this was at 1:30a.m). My first reaction was sensory overload. I didn't know which part of the page to look at first. Things are in different places. I was used to where everything was. But it'll take time and soon I'll forget what the old site looked like.
Espn.com has put together a great trip down memory lane of how their look has changed over the years. I do remember the 1996 look like it was yesterday and all the other looks are a blur to me.
They've add the top stories and the league champions for each year. They've also listed a year by year almanac. It's good to reminisce but then we realize damn we're getting old. We'll say "That happened five years ago? Oh crap. Where has all the time gone?"
But take the time to jog your memory a bit today and visit the new Espn and the old too.
