Should You Bet on Australia to Win the World Twenty?

Ian Chappell believes Australia’s cricket team is handicapped by the selection of George Bailey as captain, but should that stop you betting on them to win the World Twenty?
On September 20th, Ian Chappell blasted Bailey’s selection, stating that Bailey doesn’t fit into Australia’s traditional method of selecting its best 11 players and star batsman David Hussey should take his place, according to FoxSports.com.
Chappell’s comment comes at a sensitive time as Australia is preparing for the World Twenty and Bailey is still adjusting to his new role as captain.
Specifically, Chappell defended his statement by stating that Australia has struggled against spin bowling and that Hussey, Glen Maxwell, and Cameron White would all be better fits for the team because they would mask this deficiency.

However, Chappell’s comments cannot take away from Australia’s recent success, which included a win in their Group B opening against Ireland. The team has a lot of past success bringing cricket glory back down under, so they have a great chance to repeat in this tournament.
