While wonder what could Marcus Vick be doing today...
In news that sadly does not have to do with Mr. Dick...err..Vick because that would more than the sports blogging world could handle, wide receiver Reggie Williams of the Jaguars got busted with some weed in his car.
Okay I know who cares about Reggie Williams and certainly who cares about the Jacksonville Jaguars (certainly not after the 28-3 drubbing against the Patriots) but it's always entertaining to talk about the stupidy of professional athletes. If they're going to accept that ginourmous contract they should accept the scrutiny.
Reggie has been an under performing #1 pick in his second season out of Washington (The bust tag timer is about to burst). This season he had 35 catches for 445 yards and ZERO touchdowns. This is from the cocky player who was doing celebration dances during 7 on 7 drill in the preseason.
He also had his own one man "Dancing with the Stars" imitation against San Francisco this season. He had a season high 65 yards (don't fall out of your seat) and 4 catches. After each catch he decided to celebrate by dancing and showboating. Repeat...this was after he made a catch! Didn't anyone tell him the 49ers blow?
The worst moment came when he made a block on a run play and celebrated with yet another dance! If dancing after a block is allowed then I'd enjoy a little jig by a 300 lb lineman once in awhile. Just for laughs.
I'm not going to blame the weed on his irrational ideas. I'm going to maybe blame it on something else. Maybe some nitrous oxide. We sure didn't think he was being funny in the 49ers game.
