Possible Texas Rangers Trade

This trade is actually interesting and plausible considering recent events:

Trade: Texas Rangers trade several prospects to Kansas City for starting pitcher Zach Grienke.

The Rangers lost their ace to the Philadelphia recently and are looking to make a splash in free agency. However, at this point, no impact free agent pitchers are on the market, so only trade options are left. Grienke has recently requested a trade and the Rangers are not included in the no-trade clause in his contract.

If the Rangers can pony up the prospects, they will likely be the favorite to land Grienke. However, he will not save the franchise or even lead the team back to the playoffs. The Rangers season was lucky and they will probably finish in third place in the AL West behind the A’s and the Angels.
