NCAA Baseball Rankings 2011

This year’s NCAA baseball season has been one of the most competitive in recent memory. Teams have surged (and fallen) throughout the Top 25 and the College World Series promises to be thrilling. Indeed, UCLA was expected to be one of the top contenders this season but the Bruins have lost several games and fallen out of the Top 5.

However, despite the upheaval, there have been several notable constants: Florida, Oklahoma, and Florida State all remain undefeated as expected and they are joined by South Carolina, Louisiana State, Wichita State, Arkansas, UC Irvine, and Fresno State. So, with that, let’s take a look at the initial Top 25 NCAA Baseball Rankings for 2011. These will be updated throughout the NCAA college baseball season and, as always, feel free to post your opinion in the comments section or disagree on the Forum!

Of course, this is only the beginning of the season. No one expected Texas Christian and its stable of elite pitching to start 4-3 and they should rebound. By the same token, Wichita State may not remain undefeated for long. But, for the moment, it has certainly been an interesting and entertaining start to the college baseball season.
