NBA basketball season starts

If anyone would have asked you when the season started, would you have known? Try and think for a moment when it starts. (cue Jeopardy music). Give up? It starts today, November 1st. Out of all the major sports this is the one people probably don't really care when it begins.

Hockey fans were eagerly waiting till the season started this season. Spring training for baseball gets baseball fans buzzing and excited about the season to start. Fans make trips to Arizona and Florida to see their team in spring training. NFL training camps have full attendance at practices. Also fans want to know how other teams are doing so they can find the fantasy football sleepers. They're dying till the season kicks off. But does any really care about NBA preseason? Do you even know how many games they play in the preseason? I certainly don't. The biggest preseason buzz has been about the NBA dress code. NBA is trying to clean up their image and be more business in the wake of last season. That's the biggest news so far and nothing much about the players. So on the note, welcome basketball season 2005-2006!
