More Room on the Roster for the USA

Ever since Alex Rodriguez said he was going to stay out of underground poker rooms, we haven’t heard much from him. But now he’s back and we’re glad. Gives us something to talk about.

A-Rod said during a radio interview that he’s leaning towards playing for the Dominican Republic in the World Baseball Classic. He’s never lived there but his parents are from there. Are we upset? Heck no! That’s great news for the USA team and its fans.

A-Rod has never been a big game player. Sure he puts up huge numbers during the regular season but when it comes to the playoffs he’s batting minor league numbers. No need for proof because it's evident. With fans here still hating him for his monstrous contract, I’m sure they don’t want him on the team anyways.

Even A-Rod sounds like he’s talking smack about the USA.

"I think the Latino teams are going to have a major advantage," he said. "I think that American team might take it more like an exhibition and these guys are kind of playing for their religion down there, the pride of their country."

So he thinks he’s going to a team that has a better chance of winning? Hmmm..sounds familiar. Goes to the Yankees because of their championship ability but has fallen short since A-Rod has graced their roster. Have a feeling the same fate will fall upon the Dominican Republic.

Just waiting for a statement saying that the Dominican Republic is currently full but appreciates his offer.
