Lebron James Brought Problems on Himself

By Steven Kelsey

Lebron James is a great player, I say this in the first sentence to let lebron fans know I acknowledge his basketball skills.

The hard fact is that Lebron brought all the media attention and negative talk on himself! This man played for the Cleveland Cavaliers who treated him as if he were Michael Jordan. The city loved him and always backed him, they were building their whole team around Lebron James. Lebron showed that he has little patience and started the whole "decision" drama. Players that cause drama and talk about leaving their loyal fans tend to get some negative responses. That was only the beginning, he goes on TV and announces he is taking his talents to south beach. Instantly you feel Cleveland fans hearts crush and they lash out at him.

I don't know about other fans but I personally love when a superstar is loyal to his city and fans. Without the fans their would be no NBA or any sport in that matter. So Lebron already angered a whole city, then thinks it would be ok to say he is not winning 1 ring, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, not 6, but 7! That is a BOLD statement considering he just announced he was going to one up Michael Jordan. When you have been in the NBA for several years and you are given nicknames such as " the king " but you have no rings, you do not call out you are going to win more titles than the greatest player of all time.

Another problem you have when saying you are going to win 7 rings, you disregard all the other talented teams that could win championships. It's a little disrespectful to the greats that have already accomplished things and won titles, and still could win titles. Lebron is currently 27 years old and has zero rings, for him to win 7 would be a difficult task. It is in fact possible but I highly doubt it.

Miamis LeBron James
Miami's LeBron James (6) and Dwyane Wade in Atlanta Hawks 107-87 loss to the Miami Heat at Philips Arena in Atlanta, GA.

Lebron is playing for the Miami Heat and brings up a possible return to the cavs in the future? Lebron just loves attention and needs to stop saying such things to the media. I bet Heat fans were pleased to hear Lebron talk about that! Lebron James is showing potential to be a flake. Stop talking about potential landing spots and concentrate on getting at least one ring! All the critics are going to stay on this man until that day happens.

Miami changed their whole team around to get lebron James and Chris bosh. Both of these players are talented, but both lacked rings in this big 3. Chris bosh clearly having no championship experience playing for the raptors, and lebron could never get it done. We all know about lebrons 4th quarter issues. So Wade is the man, the only one with a ring. Lebron knows that and thought too much on pass to wade, or shoot the final shot? It needs to be a instinct to immediately know the best play to finish the game. Only the greatest have this such as Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, and many others, have that instinct and that's what seperates the good from the great.
