I'm Back from my Vacation

It's good to be back. I know it got really old seeing the same post on the top of my blog for a week straight. After flying from Vancouver, to Chicago, dealing with a four hour layover, flying in the last row of the airplane on the way to Jacksonville, I finally made it home.

The snow was great at Whistler this time of year. I actually got stuck in some of the deep powder. But when you snowboard on powder it feels like you're gliding on air. I did have some falls that made my whole body ache the next day. But I came back in one piece.

We did run into a celebrity in the most random of places I thought. We're eating in our favorite Chinese restaurant in Vancouver. What do you know Jean Claude Van Damme walks in with his family. The Muscles from Brussels! We haven't heard a peep from him lately. Back in his prime, he was THE big martial arts star. Who can forget those 360-degree ultimate leaping & super flying karate kicks. I know his career went a bit south with him being in movies we've never heard of lately. But he's still cool. Surprisingly he was so friendly also.

A manager asked for us if we could take pictures with him, even though he was eating with his family. He came back and said it was no problem and whenever we wanted. I'm not into taking photos with celebs because I find it so awkward. But other people in my group did. Jean Claude was friendly and personable. He introduced his family. Took a few photos and chatted for awhile. So now you know he's still alive!

It's good to be back.
