Handed the ball to the referee

I agree that Roy should’ve just done a Barry Sanders and handed the ball to the referee after that score. I’d like to think, however, that he was celebrating for those fantasy football owners dumb enough to start Roy on their team. (Um, no one immediately comes to mind. No, sir.)

As far as whether the Thanksgiving game should be taken away from Detroit, how many other teams actually want it? Lamar Hunt is the only owner I’ve ever heard make noise about it. I realize subjecting the country to Lions football before a meal is hazardous, but I’m not sure other teams want that short turnaround from Sunday to Thursday.

Finally, I’m glad you pointed out Detroit’s recent poor record on Thanksgiving, because one of the biggest myths around here is that the Lions are somehow dominant on Thanksgiving. They’re just over .500.
