This would be especially true if the local team gets to a prestigious tournament that they had never been before. You will see their insignia splattered all over town on the road to finals. It would be even much longer if they win.

Here in the West, ball games seem to dominate the scene. There’s your American football or rugby in some places. There is also soccer or football depending on who you ask, and this is much more prevalent in Europe and South America. Basketball also steals the show in North America but can be replaced by baseball in some places.

Canada has their hockey even though the National Hockey League has more American than Canadian Teams. In Asia, most of these sports are also quite popular although most would follow the Western teams unless it is Olympics. Overseas sports broadcast 해외스포츠중계 are so big there, and there are some who really like watching live streams.

However, there is one kind of sport that is gaining a lot of traction these days.

Esports, a shorthand name for electronic sports, is a type of sporting event that uses a computer instead of heavy physical activities. Once it was just a hobby for many people, now it has become even more competitive than ever before. There are a lot of games that host these esports events and they have been really successful.

E-Sports Games Series That You Can Watch

1. The International – DotA

One of the most popular games at the current moment, Defense of the Ancients 2 is a multiplayer strategy games which involves elements of Dungeons and Dragons with Capture the Flag. This is an intense game between two teams composed of five members each. Each of the members can pick one hero or character and strategize their way to victory by using spells and items.

It can be quite confusing for the uninitiated, but it is a rich and entertaining game to watch especially on stream. Speaking of rich, the champions of The International tournament receives one of the highest prize pools in history. 2. Worlds – League of Legends

This is another game that resembles the previous one, except there are new characters, items and whole lot more. Each team will also battle another team, both with five members each. They will face each other in the battlefield depending on their chosen position. Teams can then strategize on how they will deal with the enemies’ advances. Same with DotA, whoever destroys the enemy’s base wins. It may not have the same prize pool as DotA, but it is still quite a large amount of money reaching to more than a million.

3. World Cup - Fortnite

Another game that has exploded in popularity over the past year, Fortnite is a game that pits all the players against each other. It is a great “survival of the fittest” simulator, with each player trying to kill each other and be the only one remaining. There is also a lot of strategy involved, especially where to land, what weapons to use, gather materials to build, etc. It is also a fast-paced game which can end at around 10 to 15 minutes at least depending on the skills of the players. It would really test your skill in tracking your enemies and making the best of what you have during the play.

4. Counter Strike: Global Offensive

On the other hand if you want something a bit more classic, then CS:GO might be for you. This is the modern version of the classic Counter Strike games you played with your siblings at some point. It is a team based game, unlike Fortnite, and you do not build anything, All you have to do is budget the money given to you for ammo and kill all the members of the enemy. Take note that these two teams are also separated by their goals. Terrorists need to plant the bomb to a designated site and protect it before the Counter Terrorists can defuse it. Otherwise, whoever has the most kills wins.
