Dallas = Drew Always Looking Like Abominal Snowman

I think the best place for any drama in the NFL has to be in Dallas. You have a rich, controlling owner who controls every move on the team, a Super Bowl caliber coach who seems ready to throw his hands up and quit at any moment, a starting quarterback who is on his back and throws the ball to the other team more than he should, and some wide receiver dude.

Drew Bledsoe was on such a short leash to begin with and no thanks to his offensive line he was sacked and sacked again. Finally he could only blame himself for a costly INT right before the half that could have given them the lead or gotten close. That sealed his fate.

Then fans in Dallas got what they've been whining for in the second half. Tony Romo. A Div-1AA player who had the same number of pass attempts as L. Tomlinson (2) coming into this game. I wondered to myself what would they say if he threw two interceptions in this quarter? Is that better than a really bad Bledsoe? Then before I could answer myself, Romo threw an interception. He threw a total of three and they were all ugly. All mistakes of an inexperienced quarterback.

However I saw glimpses of what he can do. He is much more mobile than Bledsoe but so is a couch. He made some nice throws that weren't too hard but had enough zip to it. He brought back Dallas to a manageable point. But the Mortal Kombat "Finish him!" play was when he threw that interception that was returned for an easy touchdown. Give him a week of reps and he'll improve.

Tension is already thick between the quarterbacks. Romo said he never heard a word from Bledsoe. He's never been buddy buddy with quarterbacks he lost his job too. See Tom Brady and J.P. Losman.

It's starting to turn into a car wreck in Dallas and everyone wants to stop and see how bad it looks.
