Career Night

Brandon Paul had the game of his college career when Illinois needed him to. Paul scored 43 points in the Fighting Illini 79-74 upset of #5 Ohio State. Paul was 11-15 from the field, 8-10 from behind the arc, and 13-15 from the free throw line. He was became the 1st CBB player in the last 15 years to score 43+ on 15 or fewer FG attempts. It was a breakout game for Paul and gave Illinois a great win for its NCAA resume.

Coaching News

Morgan State suspended Head Coach Todd Bozeman following their 73-68 win over South Carolina State. The reason is because of a possible fight between player and coach. Bozeman is accused of hitting Larry Bastfield in the face, but both Bozeman and Bastfield say that he bumped him in the chest. Bozeman was suspended indefinitely. Morgan State is 0-2 following the suspension.

Auburn Head Coach Tony Barbee finally signed his contract. The contract runs through 2017. Barbee is currently trying to rebuild the Tigers program in SEC contenders. They are currently 11-6, 1-2 in the SEC following a 69-68 double overtime win over Mississippi. Last year they went 11-20, 4-12 in the SEC.
