Bunker Mode Joins Social Sports Betting Community

Bunker Mode has officially joined the crowded sector that is mobile social sports betting. They’ve created a new app called High Limit Sports, which will be their contribution to a very crowded marketplace.

They’re just the latest company to join the craze of social gaming and a slew of competitors are in the sports betting realm. It seems like an especially busy season for this business as a number of companies have launched in the fall to try and capture the traffic of football season.

As for Bunker Mode’s product specifically, their app will be available on iOS and will be coming out on Android very soon. It their first launch of something like this and they are targeting the crowd that can’t bet in a sportsbook because of laws but is still looking for some more action than fantasy sports.

Overall, these types of companies are popular because online gambling is illegal in the United States and players are looking for some kind of other outlet that is legal and quenches their craving. It’s safe to say that companies like this are eyeing making a full-fledged sportsbook should the laws change but for now, they are just going to have to tiptoe around what is permitted. While this is fun most people who bet offshore know that this is more of just a child’s play type of betting than a substitute for the real thing.

Bunker Mode’s app is free-to-play and supports NFL, CFL and NCAA Football. More sports are expected to be added later in the year.

As for the company itself, they are based in San Francisco and were founded in January by Greg Dirrenberger, Jason Bredice, and Matt Pangborn . We’ll find out soon whether their new product is a success or just another app that blends into a crowded field.
