Walden's also the guy that said earlier this year: "You're never going to get me to vote for one team ahead of a team that's only lost to the best team in the country" w/r/t Michigan. So I don't know if he's the best source. ;)

like Twins said, walden's mind does seem to fluctuate. but the schedule argument is legit: ohio state did not have to play in the SEC...

Twins15, are you an idiot? He didn't think Michigan lost to the best team, because he didn't think Ohio State was the best team. So by his reasoning, he didn't go against what he said because Michigan only lost to the #2 team in his opinion.

Kyle - I like to think I'm not an idiot, but I suppose that's not up to me to answer. The quote was by Walden about a month ago, and he wasn't actually talking about Michigan, he was talking about Texas, who had only 1 loss at the time, to Ohio St.

One example where the polls and computers could differ is Arkansas? standing in relation to Texas, a one-loss team currently ranked fifth.

Anderson said the computers would move Arkansas ahead because of schedule strength. But Walden said Texas would still deserve to be rated higher than every other one-loss team if it wins out because the Longhorns? only loss was to No. 1 Ohio State.

?You?re never going to get me to vote for one team ahead of a team that?s only lost to the best team in the country,? Walden said.

In between that time all OSU did was beat the #2 team in the polls... I suppose that's ground for being removed from the #1 spot in his eyes... even more reason the BCS sucks that a voter has reasoning like that.
