American football is a secure sport

The reason some Americans come out with comments about soccer is because they are threatened by it. America is a nation built on power and being (supposedly) better than everyone else. American football is a secure sport for america to like because they will always be by far the best. Most of the world couldn’t tell you what a quarterback is. Then comes soccer, and they hate the fact that they are absolutely terrible at it.

Seriously I could name about 30 nations who would run them off the field. So instead of admitting that there is something in the world that America is crap at, it gives them more of a sense of power to ridicule it. They want everyone to know that they don’t care and that is why they’re crap at it.
