A-Rod told to stay out of illegal poker rooms

Alex Rodriguez has been cautioned by the NY Yankess that playing in illegal poker rooms could be dangerous and harmful to his image.

I wonder if they also cautioned him that playing horribly in the playoffs could be dangerous and harmful to his image?

But really I'm not quite sure why MLB is so worried. Poker has become so mainstream that high school kids are now playing at home on the weekend with their friends. Who doesn't know someone who's had a weekly poker game at home? This is like the same thing. Don't think A-Rod is sending a bad message to his fans by playing in these underground poker rooms. Does MLB baseball watch ESPN? It's on everday it seems like. I thought MLB had bigger issues to worry about like steriods.
