The NFL’s Best Stadiums: Which teams have the finest grounds?

American football is one of the richest sports around, so it’s no wonder that some of the most beautiful stadiums in the world are home to teams in the NFL. With the amount of money that the teams generate, they can afford to build elaborate arenas that can play host to tens of thousands of fans who, after all, are the lifeblood of any sport.

Of the 32 teams making up the NFC and AFC, some have better stadiums than others, as you might expect. There are actually only 30 stadiums that host NFL contests, because the New York Jets and New York Giants share a stadium, as do the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers.

Today, we’ll be finding out which NFL teams have the best stadiums, and learning a little more about these iconic venues.

Without further ado, let’s check out some of these amazing stadiums. Who knows, you might get to visit some of these one day!

SoFi Stadium: Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers

Probably the best stadium in the NFL is the truly glorious SoFi Stadium, home to the two teams based in LA. It was only opened in 2020 and was recently the host of Super Bowl LVI, giving the Rams a bit of home advantage ‒ which they exploited well, going on to win the title.

The stadium is the most expensive stadium ever built, with total construction cost coming to over $5 billion ‒ a gobsmacking amount of money. That’s more than double what it cost to build the second-most expensive stadium in the world.

It truly is a marvelous feat of engineering and one of the most ambitious architectural projects in the world. The stadium has a capacity of over 100,000.

Excitingly, the SoFi Stadium is going to be one of the major arenas for soccer games in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. We’ll see some of the best soccer players in the world playing here, and it wouldn’t come as a surprise if it was granted the final.

On top of this, the SoFi Stadium is going to play host to the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as many events of the 2028 Summer Olympics.

Over the past couple of years, loads of amazing bands and artists have played at this stadium, including The Rolling Stones, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Weeknd, Paul McCartney, and Justin Bieber.

Allegiant Stadium: Las Vegas Raiders

The second-most expensive stadium in the world is located in one of the wealthiest cities in the USA, Las Vegas. It makes sense for the home of glitz and glamor to house one of the fanciest stadiums in American football.

At a total construction cost of $1.9 billion, it’s small change compared to the SoFi Stadium. However, it’s an incredible building. This stadium was also opened in 2020 (a good year for American stadiums!) and has a capacity of up to 71,000.

CenturyLink Field: Seattle Seahawks

We absolutely love the fact that from inside the Seahawks’ stadium, you can see the entire Seattle skyline. It’s a mesmerizing view, and a real treat for fans. The inside of the stadium is amazing, too. The shape of it is imposing for away teams and acoustically… it’s loud. A very intimidating place with a capacity of 69,000.

U.S. Bank Stadium: Minnesota Vikings

Another visually spectacular stadium is that of the Minnesota Vikings. From the outside, it looks a lot like a spaceship with a real sci-fi feel to it. Inside, it’s gorgeous. The roof gives the place a bit of a greenhouse feel (in a good way). You can fit 65,000 people in there, too!

Lambeau Field: Green Bay Packers

Last but by no means last on our list is way up in Wisconsin. That’s right, it’s the home of the Green Bay Packers. With as many as 81,441 able to attend a game there, there’s a real energy about it. No wonder the Packers performed so well last season. Just be wary about how cold it can get up there. You’re going to want to wrap up warm if you ever have the pleasure of attending a match there.
