Did you hear about the high school football players who were kicked off the team after donating blood on Monday? Yep it sounds that weird.
Six players decided to donate blood right before practice. They signed a statement saying they wouldn’t do any strenuous activity for 2-3 hours. They come to practice to get ready.
“We were all ready for practice,” player Jeff Chachem said. “We were going out to practice and all of our stuff was taken out of our lockers and we were told to go home, that we were done playing football.”
After this story made it all the way to NBC’s “The Today Show”, the players were allowed back on the team BUT they had lost their starting positions and have to earn them back.
Look sometimes sports can be taken way too seriously. Donating blood to save a life cannot be more important than practice?? Especially at the high school level. It wasn’t like this particular high school was any good. Guess how many wins they’ve had all season? Zero. Zero wins.
If their short suspension teaches the players anything it’s, don’t be late for practice, donate blood earlier, and don’t turn out to be a idiotic high school football coach like him. Aim just a bit higher.

The coach did the right thing, the reason the were winless because people scheduled a blood donation right before practice so they wouldnt have to work.
Do you believe they were wrong? I say no! Sometimes the Coach can forget who he really is. In this case he was sending the wong message to the team members!
Well, some people really take the game more seriously than life and in such sitiutaion act childishly when they shold have praiseed the act of boys
