Terrell Owens Attempted Suicide
What else can I say about this but…wow. Last night he was admitted to the hospital for an allergic reactions to painkillers. This morning it’s reported it was a suicide attempt.
I’m no therapist (but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night) but an attempted suicide attempt could be a cry for help. You ingest pain pills and and 15 mins later someone calls 911 doesn’t seem right. If you’re really trying to kill yourself, you do it when no one’s around. You go big. That’s what I think.
Even when fire rescue came to the house, T.O. put two more pills in his mouth. The worker attempted to pry it away from Owens but was then told that he had taken five of the 40 pain pills in the bottle he emptied. The worker asked if he was trying to harm himself and he said “yes”.
News like this is shocking. I don’t know if he truly was trying to commit suicide. The police asked him if he was trying to harm himself and he said yes. Did he truly understand the question? Was he even in the right state of mind to answer questions? Is he just depressed? If you’re eating a handful of pain pills of course you’re trying to do harm to yourself. Your body isn’t just going to burp and be okay. More details need to come out to really understand that.

(update: T.O.’s publicst is denying it was a suicide attempt. She said he was just “groggy” when answering the question about whether he was harming himself. Now it’s a game of deny, deny, deny.)
(update: He just left the hospital. Picked up in a SUV and gave a thumbs up without making a statement)
