If Benny the Bull lived in Spain, they’d make him run through a red cape while they stab him with spears. That until they slaughtered him while the crowd cheers. That makes jail sound like a trip to the beach.
Benny the Bull was arrested for allegedly punching an off-duty officer at a charity event in Chicago. He was riding a mini-motorcycle through the park, without a permit, when an officer summoned him to stop. Benny sped away but was apprehended later when he started to swing at the officer knocking off his glasses and breaking his watch.
He should have told the officer he was just imitating newly signed Ben Wallace grabbing a rebound in a crowd.
Benny the Bull costume was returned to the United Center after Barry Anderson (Benny the Bull) was arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery and driving within the parkway.
This is not the first mascot to get in trouble recently. Nor is it the first time for a Bulls mascot. In 2005, Da Bull, was sentenced to probation for 11/2 years for possession of cannabis with intent to deliver.
