The Nutty NBA Playoffs
This NBA postseason has been nuts. Really nuts. Pun fully intended. I’m not talking about the exciting series, last second shots, and close finishes. I’m talking about all the unnecessary touching below the belt. I don’t think there has ever seen so much grabbing of the jewels since “Brokeback Mountain”.
First we had the memorable Reggie Evans really getting down and dirty to reach underneath for Chris Kaman’s you know what. I think if you did that on the street to another man you’d be in jail by now. Then as someone’s bitch they’d want you to do that do them in jail.
Then Jason Terry hits Michael Finley to make him sound more like Michael Jackson for a few minutes.
Finally we have our funniest below the belt moment. You can’t script this stuff to make it funny. It happened so fast you probably missed it. It happened in the closing minutes of game 7 between the Mavs and Spurs. This video clip shows the act over and over in slow motion. Just keep an eye on Josh Howard’s face. He never knew it was coming. Neither did any of the other victims.

Sam Cassell is lucky he’s out of the playoffs. With the way he was running down the court gesturing that he had some big cajones he was setting himself up as a prime target.
