Vince Young Says C-A-T Spells Dog

Vince Young may run fast but I don’t know if he could beat Mike Tyson in a spelling bee.
A rumor that should be circulating the internet if it’s true is that Vince Young took the Wonderlic test and scored a incredibly low six on it. The test is given to all the players at the NFL combine to I guess make sure they have a working brain. Some of the low scores last year included a nine for receiver Chris Henry, a nine for defensive end Eric Moore, a nine for defensive tackle Mike Patterson, a nine for cornerback Lamont Reid, and an eight for cornerback Cedric Williams. The lowest quarterback score was Brock Berlin’s 13. Dude, Brock Berlin doubled up on Vince’s score.
The rumor came from Profootballtalk.com. Not a mainstream sports website but they do claim they “beat the ‘big boys’ in the media to the punch every so often on a big story”. They were the first to report the Chad Johnson altercation during halftime of the Cinncinatti-Pittsburgh playoff game. Cincinnati media questioned Marvin Lewis and Chad Johnson for days after their playoff loss. Since then Marvin Lewis has vowed to kick off the player who leaked that information. So they do have their informants.
I know the Wonderlic test won’t determine if you’re going to be great or not. Just like I don’t believe .1 sec on a 40 yard dash run will make someone better. But the Wonderlic test is not that hard. ESPN posted 15 sample questions from the test. I wanted to see if I was NFL material. I scored 12 out of 15 while watching the Pistons-Cavs game, eating chinese food, and all under the 5 mins. Talented I know. Profootballtalk.com gave the test to a 3rd grader who hasn’t even done multiplication yet. He scored 5 out of 15. Vince Young scored 6 out of 50. Laughable. He could probably wrap his own Christmas presents and be surprised on Christmas day.
