Today’s website features the mouth of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Joey Porter. He was yapping that the NFL wanted the Colts to win and even asked to get fined. (I suppose the NFL knew they screwed up so bad in that call and was so glad Pittsburgh won to avoid massive controversy that they let it slide.) Let’s not forget he got shot in the butt outside a Denver Bar in 2003. Does he kiss his butt every night to thank it for saving his life?
When you first get to his website you see potential. There’s of action shots in the header. There’s fire burning on the sidebar. Then he welcomes you with a picture of him flexing his bicep. Since the layout was pretty cool I was excited to see what else he had. I started clicking on links. There’s his bio and highlights, which seemed to be taken straight out of the press guide. Of course there are his stats. There’s a news link but with three headlines and that’s about it. Seriously.
Under “calendar” the last game it shows is the Jan. 01 game with the Lions. No mention of the playoffs or the Super Bowl. No photos in the photo gallery, though if I’ve seen one picture of him I’ve seen enough already. No “contests” running at this time. The “store” says coming soon. There’s even a poll where you can vote for which team (Seattle, Carolina, Pitt, and Denver) will make it to the Super Bowl. I voted for Denver vs Carolina. I was shocked to see it had the lowest votes at 1.9%. Did I miss something?
So you get the idea the website is not maintained very much. The site seems to be created by his agency, Octagon football. I don’t know what their percentage is but surely the money doesn’t go to someone to maintain his website. The webmaster needs get his ass up and do something with this site.
Go look if you want but there’s not much to see.
