In sports we get fans sometimes being creative when they run onto the field. We’ve had women run naked on a golf course and kiss the player. We’ve had a man wearing a thong do the “Riverdance” in the middle of the field during the Super Bowl. In tennis events they have streakers all the time. This year we had a guy run on the field and took the ball away from Brett Farve. However mainly we have guys, who are probably drunk, run around the field till they get tackled.
But this avid Eagles fan has taken running on the field to a whole new level.
(CBS 3) PHILADELPHIA A Eagles fan was charged with defiant trespass after running onto the field during Sunday’s game agains the Packers and spreading his dead mother’s ashes around.
The fan, whose name was not released, said his mother was a die-hard Eagles fan but didn’t have a chance to go to an Eagles game before she died, police said.
Players from both teams looked on as the man ran up the middle of the field, waving a plastic bag in the air as the ashes flew out. He eventually dropped to his knees, genuflected, and was then arrested.
It was unclear whether the man was a season ticket holder or if the Eagles would take any action against him.
It’s hard to be mad at this guy. He sounds like he just wanted to something for ma. You can also see a video clip of it too.

That story is funny and sad at the same moment. Sure he spent a night in jail, but I doubt the Eagles will take any serious action against him.
by the way, I think Tennis has the most run on the court type of fans. Women (and sadly some men) streak during tennis matches all the time in Europe.
